Certain scenes have become a part of my bike commute from Grand Isle State Park to North Hero State Park. At last, I decided to photograph these bits of island living along Route 2 on Grand Isle.
The Grand Isle School is located directly next to a farm. Cows grazing and digesting usually set the foreground for kids jumping off the school bus.
Set in front of an enormous cornfield, the sign announces the future sight of a volunteer fire department.
I adore the view of Mt. Mansfield setting the stage for black and white heifers.
This roadside stand offers zucchini and other vegetables for 25 cents a piece. Flashback in time, dress included.
